If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, NightShift might be your summer destination.
We have four internships available for students who are returning to school in September 2017. Made possible by the Canada Summer Jobs program, our internship program for 15-30 year olds runs for twelve weeks. Here’s what’s on the menu:
- Food Truck Cook – “A Taste of Heaven” is our brand new food truck social enterprise. Our Chef is looking for help to serve up delicious gourmet sausages at festivals, farmers’ markets and community events. You must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Accounting Assistant – If you aspire to a financial role, our Accounting Services Manager will introduce you to the financial ins and outs of a non-profit organization. Hours will be regular business hours, 9-5 pm.
- Program Assistant – Combining organization skills with a love of supporting people, this position will be key in helping us develop some of our newest initiatives, including a resource centre, case management initiatives and life skills training. You’ll also be involved with data entry, research and supporting our reception team, and you may be called on to work an occasional evening or weekend.
- [ Position Filled ] Volunteer Services Assistant – NightShift was built on the generosity of our volunteers. In this position, you will support our Volunteer Services Coordinator with training courses, data entry, filing and helping our volunteers be the best in Surrey! Working some evenings and Saturdays will be required.
If you think one of these positions is a fit for you, please send your resume along with a cover letter stating where you attend school, what you’re studying, and why you think you’d like to work with us, to Bonnie Schmidt.
