Last week, with the kind help of volunteers and donors, NightShift served a special Easter meal with about 250 people in Surrey and Langley. Friends experiencing homelessness and poverty were welcomed to a full ham dinner, chocolate treats and coffee gift cards, along with the opportunity to write a message of hope on coloured paper for our window in Surrey.
Embracing hope in community, while enjoying a celebration meal together is especially important for friends in need on the street, navigating loneliness along with difficult circumstances. At NightShift’s Easter Dinner, we celebrated the resurrected hope of Jesus as we gathered with people over a hot meal and shared our stories and our hopes for the future.
You are a part of the story. Thank you to our Easter Dinner sponsors, donors, volunteers for your giving and your prayers. You helped create an atmosphere full of hope, warmth and gratitude. Many people in the NightShift neighbourhood felt the miracle of human connection this Easter.
