1. Who we are

NightShift Street Ministries (NightShift, also referred to as “we”, “us” or “our” in this notice) is committed to safeguarding your personal data when you browse or transmit information through our websites https://NightShiftMinistries.org and https://TasteHeaven.ca. We respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites.

2. What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When you fill out a contact form, register for an activity, leave a comment, or request to be put in touch with a counsellor, we may collect personally-identifying information such as your name, email address, telephone number, address, information relating to your age, and any personal data you choose to share with us. We use this information to respond to you and provide information regarding the reason you contacted us.

We may collect any other information you provide to us by email or telephone, or when, for example, you register for an event, provide financial details for a donation or purchase, go through our volunteer training program, or join our mailing list.

We may collect photographs of you at events.

Personal data is also generated from technical processes such as cookies, analytics, and third party embeds. We may collect technical data (such as your IP address) and non-personally-identifying information about how you navigate through our website.

The data we collect helps us to present our website content and provide information about the services we offer.

Comments

We collect the data a visitor enters in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

Information submitted through our contact forms is used to respond to your request and communicate with you throughout your connection with NightShift, for example, as a volunteer. We do not use the information submitted for marketing purposes and we neither sell nor rent this information to anyone.
