We need you!

by NightShift

The buzz is spreading quickly about NightShift’s latest social enterprise, the Taste of Heaven food truck. The menu – mouth-wateringly delicious gourmet sausages in a bun – is already garnering rave reviews. With summer upon us, and festival season in full swing in the Lower Mainland, the popularity of Taste of Heaven has accelerated to a speed we can hardly keep up with. And that’s where YOU come in! Do you know someone who fits the bill:

  • NightShift Street Ministries is looking for a roster of fun, friendly, and focused volunteers to join our amazing food truck team.
Duties will include dealing with the public, taking food orders and operating a digital point of sale machine. And, of course, sharing NightShift’s message of love, hope and purpose. If you like being outside, meeting people and working with a fast-paced, big-hearted team, then don’t miss out on this wonderful volunteer opportunity.
  • NightShift is also looking to hire a part-time kitchen assistant, who will work alongside Chef Stephen in Taste of Heaven’s fast-paced kitchen.
The successful applicant will have experience working in a kitchen, or a desire to learn more about food preparation and cooking. This is a great way to earn extra money and add cooking experience to your resume. The right candidate will be able to take direction, understand basic food safety procedures and move quickly. Be prepared to work hard, and have a ton of fun!

To join our Taste of Heaven volunteer team, or apply for the position of kitchen assistant, please respond via email, to Chef Stephen DeKastle.

With every meal purchased at Taste of Heaven, our message of love, hope and purpose reaches more hungry hearts. Proceeds support NightShift’s nightly outreach and daily continuing care services for our friends stuck in poverty, addiction, mental illness, homelessness and loneliness.
