Warmth and Wonder at NightShift’s Christmas Dinner

by NightShift

Bringing folks together with a sit-down, family style holiday meal!

The miracle and magic of Christmas came alive at NightShift Street Ministries when volunteers, donors, and staff came together on December 16 to share a full turkey dinner, along with a side helping of hope, peace, love and joy with just over 100 of our friends from the street, who are struggling with homelessness and poverty, and other difficult life situations.

Together, we gave out hugs and handshakes, chocolate treats, homemade Christmas cards from local students, new toys for people to give their kids, and a gift for everyone who attended. We are so grateful for the support of our Christmas Dinner sponsors and volunteers, who made this special Christmas event possible. Have a look at the pictures below, and think about how YOU might get involved next year!

Hi Nightshift, I am wondering if there are any opportunities for volunteering a few hours of my time and a friend’s around christmas; either leading up to the day, christmas eve, or christmas.

Hope we can help out in some way!

Thanks, julia
