Party for the end of summer

Our annual summer celebration, in the form our our local neighbourhood Street Party, is a top favourite at NightShift Street Ministries. This is when we gather folks from all corners of our community – volunteers, donors, supporters and friends on the street – for a time of fellowship, music, and of course, good eats right off our Taste of Heaven grill!

Friends gathered in the NightShift outreach lot on Sunday, September 7, for an end-of-summer afternoon together. Everyone had an opportunity to collaborate in our community angel wings art project or have fun with an instant photobooth, all with great live music, a selection of tasty treats, fun draw prizes and plenty of tents and tables for socializing.

NightShift has always been about caring for the needs of others, and one of the ways we can do this is by enjoying fellowship together. When we tear down the walls that sometimes keep us apart, we find that we aren’t so different as human beings – all created by a loving God, and worthy of experiencing unconditional love. That is reason to celebrate, especially in a community as diverse as NightShift’s!

NightShift staff thank everyone who attended our special appreciation event. From our volunteers and donors to folks we serve on the street, together, we have been sharing of our lives, building healthy community and caring for the most vulnerable among us for more than two decades!

It’s all about sharing unconditional love, hope and purpose.
