International Women’s Day 2025

On Saturday, March 8th, our community celebrated International Women’s Day! It was a meaningful day filled with flowers, treats, beauty treatments, giveaways and women supporting each other with encouragement and love. We were graced with dozens of women from the NightShift neighbourhood, enjoying one another’s company and the complimentary beauty services on offer.

Mini facials, manicures, makeovers and hairstyling were done by our lovely student volunteers from Blanche Macdonald Centre, as well as friends of NightShift. We know that partaking in self-care and beauty practices can nurture both our physical and mental health. Our day together was all about building a sense of hope and purpose, while celebrating womanhood together.

A shout-out to the Women’s Light of Jesus group for volunteering their help on the day, as well as to the donors of the special items that elevated the event. And of course, much appreciation goes out to our badged NightShift volunteers who brought an extra sense of care and community to our special event. Thank you, everyone! We can’t wait to do it again.
