Recovery Church Cares

“It is an honour to serve and to glorify God.”

Recovery Church is a special place for people in addiction, for those on the recovery journey and for those now walking free.

Recovery Church was established at Christian Life Assembly in 2007 by Pastor Jason Roberts, who helped create a space where people could feel comfortable, accepted and loved regardless of their circumstances. With this in mind, Recovery Church began preaching biblical messages centred around addiction and recovery. Today, Recovery Church is led by Pastor Joel Reimer and the mission of Recovery Church remains the same.

Pastor Joel has a huge heart for people in need and sees serving as an opportunity for his congregation to glorify God while creating meaningful connections with others. As a result, he leads Recovery Church toward community serving opportunities.

Recovery Church first began their involvement with NightShift Street Ministries in 2020, when they started preparing and serving a hot meal once a month in Langley. Despite a global pandemic occurring at that time they decided to get involved, and Pastor Joel and Recovery Church remained firm in their desire to help.

“It is an honour to serve and to glorify God, and NightShift has provided an opportunity to do that,” shares Pastor Joel.

NightShift is honoured to partner with Recovery Church in serving people in struggling with homelessness, addiction, poverty and mental illness in Langley. Thank you!
