Career and Volunteer Opportunities

Support our seasonal SHELTER

Have you been a volunteer or paid staffer of an overnight shelter before? We’d love to hear from you as we prepare to open Selah, our Emergency Weather Response shelter, for the season.

Do you like DRIVING big-hearted vehicles?

Our fleet of vehicles needs someone to love them. From our Taste of Heaven (TOH) catering truck to our mobile outreach, kitchen and clothing units. We are looking for additional volunteers to bring our vehicles to their outreach locations in the evenings, and watch over the proceedings there before driving the truck or bus or van back for the night. We are working on the funding to transition this into a part-time paid position for the right person. Are you on board?

Limited Volunteer Positions

NightShift outreach and care programs are delivered with the help of volunteers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many of our regular programs are on hold and we have limited availability for badged volunteers to serve in the evenings in Surrey and Langley.

We are, however, actively recruiting VOLUNTEER PROFESSIONAL NURSES AND COUNSELLORS at this time:

Our dear Care Bus was retired from service earlier this year, and the tending and care of our volunteer nurses and counsellors have been sorely missed by many. We are now thrilled to announce the launch of our brand new Mobile Outreach Unit (MOU) which features new and improved access to basic nursing and counselling services to those who need it most. The MOU will be out in Surrey and Langley from the end of November. If you are a licenced, practicing counsellor or nurse, with a few hours to spare one evening a week, we can’t wait to hear from you!
