Embracing hope in community, while enjoying a celebration meal together is especially important for friends in need on the street, navigating loneliness along with difficult circumstances.

At NightShift’s Easter Dinner last week, we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus as we gathered with people over a hot meal and shared our stories and our hopes for the future.
One unhoused friend, Anya shared: “Holiday dinners mean everything to us. We are a community within a community out here and sometimes we feel like we’re on the outside. Most of us out here are separated from our families. When we come to holiday dinners at NightShift, you have no idea how good that makes us feel. We feel like we are part of a real community and a real family.”
Your giving directly supports people like Anya with hot meals, clothing, a daytime drop-in centre, access to resources, recovery and health care programs, counselling and more. It all helps people secure a sense of love, hope and purpose in both Surrey and Langley.
Thank you, with all our hearts, for being part of that!
