Christmas Dinners 2025
With the help of generous sponsors and kind volunteers, this year NightShift served Christmas dinner, gifts and love to about 240 vulnerable friends in Surrey and Langley. There is comfort that comes from being together in a safe community – especially during the Christmas season. In addition to sharing a Christmas meal with our community, we pray for all who are missing loved ones or feeling the pain of social disconnection.

Christmas kicked off in Langley first, when volunteers from ESC Group joined NightShift staff and served with enthusiastic Christmas cheer, despite the pouring rain. Christmas lights were strung on the NightShift tents, and hot turkey dinner, care packages and treat bags with a $10 Tim Hortons gift card were shared with each dinner guest.

The following week, NightShift celebrated Christmas with about 200 folks in Surrey. This special sit-down turkey feast was catered and served by our friends at Tastefully Yours by Jeff. Our community raved about the meal and shared deep gratitude for the live Christmas music. Each guest received a Christmas stocking, prepared by the students of Regent Christian Academy, a treat bag with a $10 Tim Hortons gift card, and the opportunity to select gifts for their children or grandchildren, thanks to the wonderful donation of new toys from the Annual Victor Ghirra Toy Drive.
Thank you to our dinner sponsors JD Farms, Country Lumber, ESC Group and Tastefully Yours by Jeff, the students of Regent Christian Academy and the kind donors to the Annual Victor Ghirra Toy Drive. And a big shout out to NightShift’s volunteers. The kindness and generosity of all made it possible to share the Hope and Joy of Christmas with the NightShift community.
“And the angel said unto them, ‘Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.'” – Luke 2:10
