Volunteering

NightShift relies on volunteers to cook and serve meals, sort and give out clothes, share time and conversation with our street friends, drive our ministry vehicles, lend a hand in the warehouse, provide administrative support, help organize fundraising events, and to be part of the hope that drives us forward. We accept that many of our volunteers follow different spiritual principles and practices than those of the ministry. Our purpose is to serve in love and offer friendship, not to change anyone. We strive to act with compassion and care at all times.

Do you have time – a few hours a week or a month, during the day or in the evening – to join us? Help us make a difference. We also have volunteer programs for youth.

We invite you to find out more about NightShift and the work we do. Our informal Information Nights are generally held the second Friday of the month from 6-7:30 pm.  Two weeks later we invite you back to an Orientation Evening. These two sessions are the basis of Level I Training for volunteers. For upcoming dates see our Events page. Please contact the office at 604-953-1114 or email us to reserve your space. We look forward to meeting you.
