Outreach

Reaching out, touching hearts and bringing people together. NightShift outreach programs connect people in the community who wish to be part of something special – a place to share with each other and provide hope. Find out how you can get involved by attending one of our monthly Information Nights. Our predominantly volunteer-driven programs include:

♥  Evening street outreach at 7 pm, 365 days a year, providing hot meals, clean clothes and blankets, basic care packages, as well as companionship, and if requested, personal prayer.

♥  Community connections provided by roaming AOK (Acts of Kindness) teams.

♥  Counselling available to all on a sliding-fee scale during the daytime or evenings by appointment through The Care Centre, and on the streets on Friday nights through the Care Bus. Basic medical care and recovery options are also accessible through the Care Bus.

♥  Emergency winter shelter as part of the Extreme Weather Response network that operates November 1 – March 31.

♥  Clothing donation coordination managed through Sisters Thrift Boutique, also providing work experience to people seeking reintegration in the community.
